IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marilyn (Cox)
Eberle
October 22, 1953 – March 7, 2016
Marilyn (Cox) Eberle, 62, of Davenport, went into the arms of her savior on Monday, March 7, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Third Missionary Baptist Church, 222 W. 14th Street, Davenport. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Per her wishes cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to help with her grandchildren's college funds. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born in Waterloo Iowa at St. Francis Hospital to George W. Cox and Kathleen M. Cox. She spent most of her childhood very sick and was not supposed to live past 15, but she surprised us all and lived much past that age. Marilyn graduated from UNI with a Masters degree and became a reading specialist. She helped children everywhere learn to read in Cedar Rapids, Davenport, and Shelby, just to name a few. She married Jim Eberle in Oklahoma, then they were blessed with a son
Joel Eberle. Joel, then blessed them with 6 beautiful grandchildren. She loved to sing and dance and she was full of life. She loved everyone and had no hate in her heart. Marilyn will be deeply missed.
Marilyn leaves behind her son Joel and his fiance Jacqueline, and their six kids Terriana, Davion, Demetrius, DeShawna, Joel Jr, and Joesiah; ex-husband, Jim Eberle; sisters, Carole, Diane, and Barbie; brother, Dennis; and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her grandma and grandpa, Doris and Neil Magee; parents, Kathleen and George Cox; brother, Ronnie; and twin grandbabies, Jordan and Joe'ziyah Eberle.
