Marilyn J. Frick, 89, of Bettendorf, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2026 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2136 Brady St, Davenport with visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church for Camp Shalom.

Marilyn was born June 22, 1936 in Davenport, the daughter of Eugene and Betty (Hanson) Walls.  She married Harry L. Frick on September 6, 1958 at Grace Lutheran Church, Davenport.  He preceded her in death on May 12, 2022.  They shared 63 years of marriage.

Marilyn graduated from the Moline Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in 1957 and worked as a surgical nurse for St. Luke's Hospital.  In March 2018, Harry and Marilyn moved to Ridgecrest Village to a lovely apartment.  She loved being a mother to her two children, Bob and Wren and a grandmother to her four grandchildren and two great grandsons.

Marilyn enjoyed volunteering especially at the Discovery Shop for 10 years, Bible studies, travel, reading, walking, gardening, playing bridge and entertaining.  She was a many year member of the Y's Men International, Friendship Force of the Quad Cities, the American Scandinavian Association, P.E.O. and leader, trainer and board member of Camp Fire Girls.  She was a beloved member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Davenport for 59 years.

Survivors include her son, Bob (Carolyn) Frick, Oconomowoc, WI; daughter, Wren (Matt) Goedken, Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Leah (Alex) Steinbrueck, Matthew Frick, Coe and Clay Vanhooser and great grandsons, Ethan and Henry Steinbrueck.
