Marilyn L. Kranz, 88, of Reynolds passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Kahl Home, Davenport.

Services will be at 10:00 am Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Reynolds. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Reynolds Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society- Hope Lodge or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Marilyn was born on January 3, 1934 in Reynolds, a daughter of Ellis and Gladys (Durdin) Doonan. She married Graydon "Jr." A. Kranz on September 5, 1954, at the Reynolds United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2010. Marilyn worked as an IBM keypunch operator at Dohrn Transfer in Rock Island and was a lifetime babysitter of many kids. She was a member of the Reynolds United Methodist Church. Marilyn cherished the time she had with her grandchildren and loved her pets dearly, especially her dog, Buddy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Jeff (Charlie) Kranz, North Liberty, IA, William "Bill" Kranz, Reynolds, Rhonda (Gary) VanDeCasteele, Coal Valley, and Kimberly (Doug) House, Rock Island; grandchildren, Gabe Kranz, Molly Taft, Jake (Emily) Taft, Nicole Kranz, Amie (Jermaine) Pitts, Aaron VanDeCasteele, Nathan VanDeCasteele, Tom (Calesia) House, Hannah House, and Spencer House; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Corbin, Raven, Thomas Jr., and Asa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Graydon; parents; and brother, Ellis Doonan.
