Marilyn J. Masengarb, 87, of Davenport, IA, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Trinity in Rock Island, Illinois.

Marilyn was born on December 12, 1938, to Gerald and Pearl (Shepard) Wood.

Marilyn dedicated many years to her career, working for The Argus for 11 years and for Bituminous Insurance Company for 25 years before retiring.

Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her children: Rodney Leenerts, Randy Shesky, Laura Jacquin, Raymond Shesky, June Swain, and Rory Leenerts, as well as 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Gwen Gerbitz.

Marilyn was preceded in death by three sons: Robert L. Gremmels, Richard Leenerts, and Robert E. Leenerts.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
