Marilyn D. Morrow, 90, Rock Island, IL passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Friendship Manor in Rock Island. There will be a visitation 9:30-10:30 with a memorial service following at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Interment at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the family.

Marilyn was born on May 13, 1933 to Clarence and Beulah (Webb) Blacker in Monticello, IL. She spent her early childhood there before she moved to the Quad Cities where she graduated from Rock Island High School.

On June 16, 1951 she was united in marriage to Lecil Morrow Jr. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Rock Island where they raised their two children. Marilyn was a homemaker and for many years, worked as a hostess and dietary aide for Friendship Manor. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Marilyn enjoyed tending to the flowers in her garden, reading, and spending time with her dog.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori Morrow; son, Tom Morrow; sister, Carole (Tom) Kirwan; nieces, Cindy Lawson and Pam Bailey; four great-nieces; two great-great-nephews; and her beloved dog, Katie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lecil; siblings, Norma Kay Davis, Gerald "Jerry" Blacker, and Connie Weber.
