Marion L. Mackey, 62, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at UnityPoint Health, Trinity, Rock Island. Services for Mrs. Mackey will be at 4:00pm on Tuesday at Gloria Dei Presbyterian Church, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gloria Dei Presbyterian Church, Rock Island.

Marion was born on June 27, 1952 in Moline, the daughter of Robert Berberich, Sr. and Vivian Anderson Berberich. She married Kenneth W. Mackey on August 14, 1981 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2014.

Marion worked as a baker at Friendship Manor in Rock Island for over 32 years. She was a member of Gloria Dei Presbyterian Church, Rock Island. She greatly enjoyed baking, crochet, sewing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Jami (Jerrod) Roessler, Tracey Mackey and Katie Mackey, all of Rock Island; honorary daughter, Jessica Evans; grandchildren, Isaac and Catti-Bre; brothers, Robert (Cheri) Berberich,Jr., Orion, Jerry (Carrie) Reed, House Springs, MO, Ken Berberich, Davenport and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ken and brothers, Gary Reed and Tim Berberich.

Marion's family would like to thank the staff at UnityPoint Health, Trinity Rock Island 4th Floor South, Trinity Infusion Center, Dr. Garneau and UnityPoint Hospice for their excellent care in Marion's final days.
