Marissa Lard of Davenport, IA born July 12th 1991, to Troy Lard and Beth Ward, passed on December 23rd 2022, at Davenport Genesis hospital. There will be a visitation from 11AM-12:00PM with a memorial service following at 12PM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Memorials preferred to the family.

Marissa was a loving mother. Mothering Markyus Cordea Lard was her biggest accomplishment. Nothing brought her more joy than motherhood. Marissa was a hard worker, pursuing work within the food service industry. Marissa's hobbies included bowling, eating out, spending time on the riverfront, and celebrating holidays with family and friends. Marissa was full of life and loved to laugh, even if it was only funny to her. Her laugh was truly unique and will be missed dearly. Marissa should be remembered for her goofiness, her beauty, and as a hero because although she has departed, she left protecting and being the best mother to her son.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include; Markyus Lard (son) Cheyenne Lard (grandmother), Troy Lard (father), Juan Marron (uncle), Kamari Lard (brother), Bryson Ward (brother) and a long list of family and close friends who love her dearly. She is preceded in death by Ora Mae Lard (great grandmother), Charlie Lard (uncle), Evell Hearn (uncle), and Lynette Lard (cousin).
