Marjorie E. Teel, 90, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Reynolds Cemetery, Reynolds. Memorials may be made to the family.

Marjorie was born on April 22, 1924, in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, the daughter of Harry and Pearl (McCoy) Knight. She married Francis Teel on April 7, 1956. Marjorie retired from Jaydon Inc. in Rock Island, where she was employed as a line supervisor. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially her famous fried chicken. Marjorie spent the last five years working at Just Kids; the children and staff there made a huge impact on her life.

She is survived by her sons, Dale Teel, Milan, and Charles (Darla) Whittinghill, Conroe, TX; grandchildren, Micaela Booth, Samantha Mazzulla, and Tiana Van Dyke; and great grandchildren, Kyson and Kalia Ray. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis Teel; her parents; and her four brothers and two sisters.
