Obituary

Marjorie I. Wadsworth, 94, of Avonlea Cottage, Milan, passed away Sunday October 12, 2014 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island.
Services will be 11:00am Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be 10:00am to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left to Faith Evangelical Free Church, Moline.
She was born on December 13, 1919 in Rural Township near Coal Valley, the daughter of William D. and Lillie C. (Arp) Wadsworth. Marjorie was a 1938 Graduate of Rock Island High School.
She had been employed as a receptionist at the office of Dr. Kanda and also as a teachers aid at Earl Hanson School, Rock Island.
Marjorie was a active member of Faith Evangelical Free Church, Moline, where she served as a deacon, taught Sunday School and belonged to Womens ministry. She was a 50 year member of Rock Island County Home Extension, Rock Island Womens garden club and volunteered with Young at Heart and Christian Friendliness. Marjorie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, walking, traveling, bird watching and wild flowers.
Survivors include her brothers, David (Fern) Wadsworth, Milan, William (Margie) Wadsworth Jr.; nieces and nephews, Teresa(Michael) Brown, Taylor Ridge, Greg(Betty) Wadsworth, Silvis, Kathy(Tom) May, Grayslake, IL, Deb(Scott) Leatherman, Mundelein, IL, Mary Ellen(Jerry) Taylor, Milan, Mark (Diane) Wadsworth, Coal Valley; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Merle, Leverne and George Wadsworth; nephews, Ron, Larry, Mike and Marvin Wadsworth.
