Mark Petersen, 69, of Rock Island, Il, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 21, 1956, the son of Curtis and Eloise (Miller) Petersen. Mark married Ruth in June of 1999. 

Mark is survived by his siblings, Lawrence (Cynthia) Petersen, Walter (Alice) Petersen, and Mary (Dale) Bundy. He is also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ruth Petersen, and sister, Carol Gustafson.
