Marlene A. Edgeworth, 82, of Fort Pierce, FL, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Fort Pierce, FL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 24, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.  A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to Alleman High School.

Marlene was born on October 29, 1938 in Rock Island, the daughter of Lester and Dorothy (Ferris) Deardoff.  She married James Edgeworth on November 23, 1957 in Rock Island, he preceded her in death in 1998.  Marlene enjoyed traveling and playing golf.  Most of all spending time with her family and dogs.

Marlene is survived by her significant other of 21 years, Lloyd Lasenby; children, Lori (Brian) Dailey, Lisa (Tom) Zmuda, Linda (Mike) Bousson, Tony Edgeworth, and Tom Edgeworth; grandchildren, Ellen, Megan, Mike, Eric, Katie, John, Mary Beth, Taylor, and Evan; and great grandchildren, Blake, Augusta, Ava, Jaxon, Elle, Jace, Max, Isabella, Lola, Elodie, and Kodak.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edgeworth and parents.
