It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, Marsha L. Reading on July 31st, 2024 at the age of 80.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Friday August 9, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to service time at the funeral home.

Marsha was born on March 17, 1944 in Rock Island the daughter of Henry and Roberta (Randolph) Tucker. She married Joseph D. Reading in 1966. He preceded her in death. Together they raised three daughters who will forever cherish their memories.

Marsha retired as a surgical nurse from the former Lutheran Hospital. Marsha took great pride caring for those around her and will forever be remembered and loved for her sassy demeanor, warm heat and graceful (or fashion and) beauty. Making everyone feel at home with her home-cooked meals, wise words and genuineness, she has left a lasting impact on all those who knew her. In her free time she enjoyed hobbies such as puzzles, playing the slots, sewing, reading, and watching her favorite Westerns. She was known by everyone in her community for being sweet, caring, supportive, and overall a one of a kind lady.

She is survived by her daughters and son in law, Angela Reading, Marilyn (Charles) McCauley, Kimberly Cooper; siblings Micheal, Myron, and Marshal Tucker;  grandsons, Jayovonte Reading, Brandon Kelly, Tyree, Shala, Desirae Reading, Robert, Richard and Demitri Cooper nieces, nephews and several great- grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson, Marcus Kelly.

Rest in Peace, dear Marsha. You will forever be missed and always remembered.
