Martha Sue Waite, 82, of Andalusia, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at home.  There will be a visitation from 4-6 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan, IL.  Per Martha's wishes, cremation rites will follow the visitation.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Martha Sue Davidson was born on November 24, 1941 in Oakman, Alabama, a daughter of Gus and Vennie Lawson Davidson.  She married James O. Waite, Jr. on June 11, 1962, in Rock Island, IL.  He preceded her in death on August 21, 2015.

Martha worked at the Rock Island Arsenal where she retired in 1993.  She enjoyed gardening, reading and being a mom and grandma.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lori Parchert, Andalusia; grandson, Colten (Kristin) Parchert, Andalusia; and great-grandson, Milo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Harold Dean Davidson, Allen Patton and Claude Patton.
