Martha J. Foster, 80, of Sherrard, passed away Friday October 3, 2014 at her home.
Services will be 11:00am Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be 10:00am to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sherrard Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the American Cancer Society.
Martha was born on July 28, 1934 in Rock Island, the daughter of Dewey and Minnie (Kadel) Anderson. She married Loren Foster on July 23, 1955 in Rock Island.
Mrs. Foster had worked at Servus Rubber, Rock Island for 10 years. She later was a homemaker and helped her husband on their farm near Sherrard.
Martha was a graduate of Rock Island High School in 1952.
Survivors include her husband, Loren; son, Duane Foster; grandchildren, Mathew (Molly) Foster, Steven Foster, Nicholas (Trista) Foster; great grandchildren, Kade, Eli, Gretchyn, Kylie, Audrey, Hunter; sisters, Marion Eberts, Leona(Charles) Anthony, Carol Chapman; many cousins and relatives.
She was preceded by her parents; brothers, Mardel and Dale Anderson and sister, Marjorie Anderson.
