Martha Jean Kitchens , 87, of Milan, IL, formerly of Cable, passed away Saturday May 15, 2021 at her home.

Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, IL, with visitation one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at a later date at New Boston Cemetery, New Boston, IL.

Martha Jean Crose was born October 14, 1933 in Keithsburg, IL, a daughter of Everett and Nellie Corr Crose. She married Marvin E. Kitchens on May 28, 1970. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2015.

She was a private home care provider for many years. Martha Jean enjoyed caring for her home and garden, feeding the birds and playing bingo. She was an avid hunter, hunting into her 70's.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Everett LaRue, Tennessee, Sally LaRue, Davenport, IA, and Billy Ralph; stepchildren, Marvin Kitchens, Jr., Terry McKinney, Robbie Kitchens and Debbie Kitchens; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ricky LaRue, sisters, Ella Morgan and Margie Schrock; and brothers, Everett Coe Crose and Warren Crose.
