Marva R. Marshall, 67, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday April 1, 2018 at home.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 9th, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, IL, with visitation prior to services from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.

Marva was born June 23, 1950 in Moline, Ill., a daughter of James L., Jr. and Ruth Gill Marshall. She graduated from Rock Island High School, Class of 1969. Following high school, she received her L.P.N. degree.

She was a receptionist for the City of Rock Island, for many years.

Marva was and avid reader and fan of James Patterson and Patricia Conwell novels. She also enjoyed watching TV.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are, her sisters, Dora Holland and Carmen Marshall, both of Rock Island, and Debra Marshall-Medlock, Moline; brother, William L. Marshall, Rock Island; and a host of nieces, nephews, and additional family.

Marva was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lois Bond and Doris Taylor; and two brothers, John F. Marshall and James L. Marshall III.
