Marvin A. Hancq, 82, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday September 10, 2023 at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehab, East Moline.

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There are no services planned at this time.

Marvin was born on November 8, 1940 in Rock Island, the son of Raymond A. and Ellen (Rounds) Hancq.

He had been employed as a production worker and later in maintenance at Servus Rubber for 38 years, retiring in 2006.

Marvin had been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Milan. He loved going for walks, car rides and was a avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Survivors include his nephews, Cyrille A. (Lynda) Verhelst, Patrick J. Verhelst; several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ellen; sister, Beverly Jean (Hancq) Verhelst and brother, Paul Raymond Hancq.
