Marvin C. Mueller , 92, of Aledo, IL, formerly of Reynolds, IL passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Mercer Manor, Aledo.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 17, at Zion Lutheran Church, Taylor Ridge. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center or in care of the family. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is assisting the family with arrangements .

Marvin was born May 27, 1929 in Reynolds, Illinois, a son of Carl and Gertrude Schmidt Mueller. He first married Shirley Docherty.  He later married Gail Hansen, she preceded him in death on November 7, 2014.

Marvin was a lifelong farmer in the Reynolds area. He also worked at John Deere for seven years.

He was a member and past president of the Illinois Soybean Association, and life member of the Rock Island County Farm Bureau.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Taylor Ridge. He enjoyed golfing, skiing, fishing, and travelling with the family.

Surviving are his children, Cindy Mueller (Gloria Rohm), Reynolds, Marla (Bill) Brandmeyer, Rochester, MN, and Brian (Jean) Mueller, Reynolds; grandchildren, Austin, Carson, and Riley Brandmeyer, Kurt Mueller and Jamie (Jared) Kriegel; brother, Steve Mueller, Reynolds; and many nieces, nephews, other family, and many lifelong friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Gail; parents, sisters, Bernice Moecker, Francis Pearson and Verlee Blaser; and brothers, Harvey and Gary Mueller.
