Marvin Strum, 85, of Rock Island, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Services for Mr. Strum will be 10 am, Wednesday at Congregation Beth Israel at the Tri City Jewish Center, Rock Island. Burial is in the Hebrew Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Congregation Beth Israel at the Tri City Jewish Center, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Marvin was born on June 21, 1929 in Rock Island, a son of Hyman and Mary (Rudman) Strum. Mr. Strum worked as a accountant at the Rock Island Arsenal for 32 years, retiring in 1985. Marvin was a member the Tri City Jewish Center, Rock Island, Moline American Legion Post No. 246, Rock Island Elks Club, and the Rock Island Optimist Club. He was a fan of Rock Island High School Athletes. Marvin was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

Survivors include a niece; three nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.
