Mary E. Baker , 86, of Milan, Ill., formerly of Hardy, Ark., passed away Tuesday July 7, 2020 with loved ones by her side.
Services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, with visitation one-hour prior to services. Public gathering limitations allow for 50 people at a time within the funeral home. In accordance with public guidelines and for the safety of all those attending, capacity limits will be monitored and all guests attending the visitation or service are to wear a mask and observe social distancing. Inurnment will be at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society or LBDA (Lewey Body Dementia Association).
Mary was born May 30, 1934 in Milan, a daughter of Walter C. Webster and Emma (Arp) Webster. She married Gerald L. Baker on July 12, 1952 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2015.
She worked at Servus Rubber for two years. She was a housewife and a wonderful mother.
Mary loved spending time with family, camping, fishing, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Surviving her are two sons, Jeff Baker, Iowa City, Iowa, and Dan (Tina) Baker, Milan; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Donna (Jim) Nelson, Moline, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; two sons, Steven and David Baker; her parents, three sisters and four brothers.
