Mary Jayne Hunt Finley, 93, of Rock Island, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 at her home.  Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.  Private graveside services and inurnment will be held in Chillicothe Cemetery.

Mary Jayne was born on March 7, 1923 in Peoria.  She was adopted by the late  Arnold P. and Catherine A. Powley Brandt.  She married Donald Hunt in 1941.  He preceded her in death in 1974.  She married Andrew Finley in 1976, he also preceded her in death.  Mary Jayne loved crafting and quilting.  She took satisfaction in making quilts for the Altrusa club to distribute to orphans and children with illnesses.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Smith, Naples, FL; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Donald and Andrew, daughter, Bonnie Lynne Ross and sons, Barry Lee and Michael Ross Hunt.
