Mary A. Conner- Moreland, 67, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2014 at her home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.
Mary was born February 18, 1947 in Pulaski, Tenn., a daughter of George and Meda (Meredith) Conner. She married Charles "DaddyO" Moreland, Jr. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2008.
Mary worked in the dietary department at the former Riverpark Nursing Home, Rock Island.
She is survived by her sons, Darnell (Kala Stanley) Conner-Moreland and Shaun Conner, both of Rock Island; daughter, Shanda Moreland, Indianapolis, Ind.; a host of grandchidren; four great-grandchildren; brother, James Conner, and his wife Charlene, Indianapolis; sister, Vanessa Giles, Rock Island; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Tyrone Moreland; and three brothers, Earl and Charles Conner and Clifton Meredith.
