Mary Etta Sheraden, 83, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at UP Trinity, Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2026 at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island with visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be at Ollie Cemetery, Ollie, IA. Memorials can be made to Edgewood Baptist Church.

Mary Etta was born December 14, 1942 in Moline, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth Virginia (McReynolds) Teeter. She married Robert Sheraden on December 15, 1962 in Rock Island.

Mary Etta retired as a Librarian from the Rock Island/Milan School District 41.

Mary Etta was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island since she was 3 years old. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading books, working in her yard and her monthly lunches with her high school classmates and school retirees. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking them to the Catfish Place.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; children, Cindy Newman, Rock Island, Scott (Karen) Sheraden, Rock Island and Eric Sheraden, Moline; grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, Melissa, Alexis, Brandon, Brooke, Noah and Jeric; great-children, Branson, Trenton, Olivia, Arlo, Reese and baby girl due in June; brother, Kenny Teeter, Moline and special friend, RuthAnn.
