Mary G. Faramelli, 104, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday June 14, 2016 at Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, where visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Monday. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Mary was born September 19, 1911 in Memphis, MO, a daughter of John and Goldie Harle Keathler. She married Leo Faramelli on August 31, 1935 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death in 1995.

In earlier years, she had worked at Modern Woodmen, Rock Island. In later years, she was a homemaker and will be fondly remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mary and her late husband, Leo, enjoyed fishing and wintering in Florida.

Surviving are her sons, John Faramelli, Rock Island, and Jim Faramelli, and his wife Kathy, Rock Island; grandchildren (and spouses), Steve (Carey) Faramelli, Diane (Paul) Penzkover, Plainfield, IL, and John (Laurie) Faramelli, Clearwater, FL; great-grandchildren, Heidi and Luke Faramelli, Michael and Ryan Penzkover, and Ashton Faramelli; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Bernice Verre, Davenport; and best friend, Mary Sims, Rock Island.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, infancy.
