Mary Lou Jaster, 87, of Milan, died Friday, July 12, 2024 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island.  A funeral service will be at 11 am Friday, July 19, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Visitation will be from 10-11 am Friday, July 19, 2024 at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made in care of the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Mary Lou was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 20, 1936, a daughter of Harold and Grace Malcom Hagens.  She married Cloyd Jaster on July 5, 1955 in Galesburg, Illinois.  He preceded her in death in August of 2003.

Mary Lou worked in the data entry department for Royal Neighbors of America for 22 years.  Following retirement, she enjoyed volunteering her time at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island.

Mary Lou was a member of First Lutheran Church, Rock Island and the Milan Women's Club.  She enjoyed camping, reading, square dancing, crossword puzzles and Yahtzee.  She especially enjoyed Wednesday luncheons with her friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Scott Jaster, Milan; grandchildren, Jennifer Hayes, Christopher Reynolds and Stephanie Goese-Goble; great-grandchildren, Alexis Reynolds, Myrna Reynolds and Harris Reynolds, Carenn Hayes and McQuinn Cornett; great-great granddaughter, Adalynn Foutch; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
