Mary Ann Hays, 84, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at River Crossing, Moline.

A visitation will be help from 12:00 pm (noon) to 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Graveside service will take place at 1:30 pm at Roxk Island Memorial Park Cemetery following visitation on Saturday.  Memorials to the family.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is assisting the family with services.

Mary Ann was born on July 30, 1938, in Davenport, the daughter of Lester and Madeline (Leonard) Dunn.  She married Neil Hays on July 4, 1963.  Mary Ann was a great gardener and enjoyed taking care of the flowers in her garden.  She loved her pet dogs and was a great cook.  Most of all she cherished the time spent with her family.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Neil Hays, Illinois; children, Terence (Kathleen) Hays, New York and Lynn (Kevin) Shanahan, Iowa; grandchildren, Bryanna Beard, Courtney Hays, and Eleanor Shanahan; and brother, James (Mona Hansen-Dunn) Dunn.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
