Mary Ann Johnson, 82, of Illinois City, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026 at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf surrounding by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life is pending (time to be announced) on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Illinois City Hall, 12206 238th St W, Illinois City, IL 61259. Memorials can be made to Clarissa Cook Hospice House or Hammond Henry Hospital.

Mary Ann was born July 30, 1943 in Moline, the daughter of Joseph and Florence (Henyan) Macik. She married Myron Johnson on December 2, 1961 in Port Byron, IL.

Mary Ann retired from Thatcher Plastics Packaging.

Mary Ann enjoyed bingo, going to the casino, gardening, canning, raising Monarchs and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Myron; children, Shelly (David) Kauzlarich, Colona, Kim (Kraig) Kain, Colona, Scott (Jamie) Johnson, Reynolds and Kris Johnson, Moline; grandchildren, Amanda (Mark) Goethals, Katie (Kevin) Gripp, Morgan (Andy) German, Hannah (Nick) Verbeck, Bailee Kain, Abbi Sandlin, Libby Sandlin, Tayler (Blake) Boeckenstedt and Hunter Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Kole Gripp, Addy and Ellie Goethals, Stetson Verbeck and Mavery and Millie Boeckenstedt and sister, Deb Bales. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Barbara McCumber.
