Mary Ellen Eberts, 62, of Milan, died Friday, February 9, 2018 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island.  A celebration of life gathering will be 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in the chapel (located on the second floor) of St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehabilitation, 767 30th St., Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the QC Animal Welfare Center or to the family.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is assisting the family.

Mary was born in Moline on February 9, 1956, a daughter of Theodore and Darlene Means Lowe.  She married Ronald Eberts on May 14, 1976 in Rock Island.

Mary obtained an associates degree from Black Hawk College, Moline.  She taught children in the head start program for the Rock Island – Milan School District 41.

Mary enjoyed cross-stitching, doing family genealogy and spending time with family.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Eberts, Milan; children, Scott Eberts, Viola, Todd (Olivia) Eberts, Viola and Rebecca Eberts, Milan; grandchildren, Andrew, Landen and Lydia Eberts and Dakota, Paige and Megan Moore; and brothers, Keith Murray, Coal Valley and Robert Barnes II, Nashville, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
