Mary L. Madison, 81, of Milan, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2020 at her residence. A private memorial service will be live-streamed at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island by visiting www.wheelanpressly.com/live-stream. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In accordance with restrictions, attendees need to wear a face mask and observe social distancing. Inurnment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Mary was born on December 19, 1938 in Ferriday, LA, the daughter of Gus and Edena (Washington) Morgan. She married Clarence Madison on February 18, 1960. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1990. Mary earned her LPN degree from Blackhawk College and worked as a licensed practical nurse at UnityPoint Health-Trinity West, formerly Franciscan Medical Center in Rock Island for 30 years, retiring in 2005. She loved sewing, baking, listening to music, and following the latest fashion.

Left to cherish Mary's memory are her children, Ricky (Frencetta) Morgan, Huntsville, AL, Greg (Kelly) Madison, Moline, Felicia Madison, Milan, and Troy Madison, Denton, TX; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Campbell, Shelly Campbell, Emma Campbell, Donna Campbell, Jonell Campbell, Donell Campbell, and Booker T. Campbell.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and one sister.
