Mary Jane Davis, 89, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday January 23, 2024 at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport, Iowa.

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at Rock Island National Cemetery.

Mary was born on July 30, 1934 in Rock Island, the daughter of Orlando and Elsie Potter. She married John W. Davis Jr. on July 29, 1950 in Davenport, Iowa.

She had been a homemaker most of her life, staying home to help raise their five children.

Mary will always be known for her smile and loving nature.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Kathy (David) Miller, Brenda S. Davis Hunt, Jimmy Davis, Edward L. Davis, Sandra D. (Gary) A. McIntire; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Orlando and Elsie; siblings, Norman Potter, John Potter, Dick Potter, Edith Kinnamon, Dorothy Walt, Ethel Krauel and Darlene Wallace.
