Mary L. Raymond, 94, of Rock Island, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the KNOX CHAPEL of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106 7th Avenue, Rock Island . Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Knox Chapel . Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.

Mary was born July 29, 1930, in Moline, a daughter of Alois and Emilie (Lannoo) Claus. She married John J. Raymond Jr. on July 22, 1950, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2010. Mary was a loving homemaker. She was a former member of the Rock Island/Milan Booster Club and the Lions Club. Mary was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed sewing. She also loved crafts. Above all, Mary cherished the time spent with her family.

Those left to honor Mary's memory include her children, Katherine Kissell, Michael Raymond, Patricia (Mike) Lannen, and Tina Taylor; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Madeline Parein; and sister-in-law, Kathy Claus.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Elizabeth Heinzel and Caroline Claus; brothers, Donald, Michael, Lucian, and Joseph Claus; grandson, Jeremy Raymond; granddaughter, Lori Kissell; and sons-in-law, Larry Kissell and Anthony Taylor.
