Mary Ann Strader, 88, of Coal Valley, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Services for Mary Ann will be 11 am, Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois in memory of her son, Richard Strader.

Mary Ann was born on January 3, 1931 in Rock Island, a daughter of Louis and Evelyn Hudson Pannell. She married William John Strader on April 18, 1948 in Minnesota. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1996. She later married Charles Schweiss on December 31, 2005. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2018. Mary Ann worked as a secretary for Royal Neighbors of America, Rock Island for many years; she retired in 1994. Mary Ann was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley. She enjoyed reading and was an avid doll collector. Mary Ann was one of Frank Sinatra biggest fans.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Vicky and Gary McKinley, Colona; grandson, Jeffrey McKinley, Orion; great grandsons, Chance and Leland Clem- McKinley; step children, Kent Schweiss, Phoenix, AZ. and Sandy (Edward) Sentman, Colorado Springs, CO.; brother, William (Loan) Pannell, Festus, MO.
