Mary Anna Talik, 92, of Rock Island, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at Riverwood Rehab, East Moline.
Services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until service time. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island.
Mary Anna was born on May 1, 1923, the daughter of James and Mary Williams. She married Stanley Talik on November 3, 1944. She was a devoted wife and loving mother to their only child, the late Eilene Talik.
Mary Anna enjoyed listening to her radio you dare not change the station, bless her heart. She was also an avid fan of the Lawrence Welk Show.
Mary Anna was truly blessed to have had a very caring and loving circle around her in her remaining days. Ms. Sue Pemp walked into her life with open arms, prayers and her huge heart ready to fulfill her God sent duty to help Mary Anna in every way possible. Thanks Aunt Sue, and a special thank you to Florence Patterson for her countless hours of care for Mary Anna.
Mary Anna's daughter passed July 1, 2015 before doing so she relied on her special friend (you know who you are) to look after her mother, for what she thought to be a short hospital stay. However the daughter passed away never returning home, so that special friend continued to care for Marry Anna as promised to her daughter, to the very end. You also fulfilled your God sent duty.
Rest in peace sweet, sweet Mary Anna you will be truly missed.
Mary Anna is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, and her siblings.
