Mary Sharon Ringberg, 82, of East Moline, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Clarissa Cook Hospice Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. She was surrounded by her family, finally at peace after a courageous fourteen-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Mary was born on June 28, 1942, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Elizabeth (Moorehead) Wells. She married Jim Ringberg on June 5, 1965, in Illinois. Together, they raised a family where Mary was a sweet loving mom and enthusiastic homemaker. Later in life, Mary worked in the service industry and supported her children as their families grew, enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary had many friends, including her special friend Jim Decker and the ladies in the Red Hat Club. She enjoyed crafting, water aerobics, and watching the Hallmark Channel.

Survivors include her children, Brad (Nadine) Fetters of Bettendorf, Iowa; Sherry (Ken) Smith of Chicago, Illinois; Pam Ringberg Verdin of Winder, Georgia; Scott (Merit) Ringberg of Geneseo, Illinois; Robert (Heidi) Ringberg of Hillsdale, Illinois; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob (Dolores) Wells of White Pines, Tennessee and Tom Wells of Davenport, Iowa; and sister-in-law, Shirley Wells of Milan, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Elizabeth Wells; former husband James Ringberg; brothers David Wells, Jimmy Wells and Bruce Wells; son-in-law, Paul Verdin; and grandson Casey Krager. Funeral services are 11:30am on Monday October 14, 2024, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chapel Grove Cemetery, immediately following the service. Memorials may be left in her name to Clarissa Cook Hospice Home
