Mary L. Wright, 69, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA.
A private family service was held and interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, IL, assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities, St. Jude's, Ronald McDonald House or Donate Life America.
Mary was born January 21, 1946 in Rock Island, IL, a daughter of Louis and Annella Viren Wietlispach. She graduated from Villa de Chantal High School in Rock Island.
She worked at John Deere, Davenport Works for 38 years before retiring to Las Vegas.
Mary enjoyed sharing a fine bottle of wine with her family and friends, entertaining her family and many friends around the holidays, around her pool and pretty much anytime at her beautiful home where she spent countless hours decorating, making a wonderful home and everyone feel welcome and loved.
Surviving are her husband, Charles, of Las Vegas; children (and spouses), Amanda Wright, Las Vegas, Charles "Chad" (Michele) Wright, Monroe, GA, and Abigail (Jeff) Smith, Las Vegas; grandchildren, Charlsey, Hannah, Chandler, Erin, Evan, Jackson "Jack", Brooklyn and Noah; sister, Margie (Bill) Knot, Naples, FL; and sister-in-law, Lynn Wietlispach, San Antonio, TX.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Tim Wietlispach.
