IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Matthew Casey
McGuire
October 3, 1965 – February 16, 2026
Matthew Casey McGuire (also known as Matt), age 60, of Moline, IL, passed away on February 16, 2026.
Matt was born on October 3, 1965, in Rock Island, IL, to Roy and Jacquelyn McGuire. He grew up in Rock Island, where he attended Alleman High School and enjoyed playing football for Alleman.
In 2024, Matt married Alicia after 10 years together, and they had just celebrated their first year of marriage in September.
Matt enjoyed taking in live bands with friends, camping and kayaking with his wife, and rooting for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. Friends and family remember him for his love of St. Patrick’s Day, his humor, and the way he seemed to know people everywhere he went.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia McGuire; sons, Johnathon (Kelly) McGuire and Casey McGuire; stepdaughter, Heather (Jacob) Kreutzer; grandkids, Nolan, Booker, Mason and Kealey; his mother, Jacquelyn McGuire; brothers, Mickey (Darlene) McGuire, Patrick (Karen) McGuire, and Mark McGuire; sister, Mary Kay McGuire; brother-in-law, Burch (Renee) Kealey; sister-in-law, Beverly Carlile; and too many nieces and nephews to count. Matt loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy McGuire, and sisters, Debi McCallister and Chris Malone.
A visitation will be held Thursday February 19, 2026 from 4:00-7:00pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am Friday, February 20, 2026, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island. Burial will follow in Rock Island National Cemetery.
Matt will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
