Maureen Bickel, 83, of Milan, passed away Wednesday September 28, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.

Services will be 1:00pm Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Beulah Presbyterian Church.

Maureen was born on January 22, 1933 in Rock Island, the daughter of Clyde and Mildred (Hill) Day. She married Thomas W. Bickel on May 2, 1953 in Milan. He preceded her on May 14, 2001.

She was employed by Bituminous Insurance Company, Bickel-Ford dealership, Milan, and the Bickel-Skelley service station, Moline.

Maureen was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon and Elder,  Moline Activity Center, several bowling leagues, Milan Womans Club, Red Hat - Sapphire, Rock Island Moose Lodge, volunteered for Senior Olympics and RSVP in Rock Island and Moline.

Survivors include her daughter Billie Jo Bargmann, Rock Island; brothers, Raymond Day, Rock Island and Earl Day, Camanche, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Virginia; brother, Howard and son in law, Donald
