Michael "Mickey" J. Baird, 49, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at UnityPoint Health–Trinity, Rock Island, surrounded by loved ones.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Those wishing to attend graveside services at Rock Island National Cemetery on Friday, February 9, 2024, please meet at the funeral home at 9:15am. Military honors will be performed at the cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Mickey was born April 29, 1974, in Moline, to Michael and Deborah (Holland) Baird. Mickey served in the United States Marine Corps from 1994 to 1998. He worked as a roof sales associate at A+ Roofing and Siding Co.

Mickey was a member of the Quad Cities Tennis Club and enjoyed playing pickleball. He lived his life actively, participating in events such as the Tough Mudder and Spartan runs. Mickey also enjoyed cooking. The most important thing in Mickey's life was his family and friends. He showed how important his family was to him by taking the time to go through his genealogy; making a collage of his family dating back 100 years. Mickey loved being outdoors and active in sports with everyone especially on his planned "Sunday Fundays" at Hodge Park. Mickey was known to have a smile that lit up the room and was always the life of the party.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Mike; children, Amanda(Josh) Ohm, Nickolas Baird, and Chase Baird; grandchildren, Siri, Sinxay, Noah, and Lily; siblings, Brandy(Shaine) McGuirk, and David Baird; and many other cherished friends and family members. He is preceded in death by his mother, Deborah, and brother, Danial Baird.
