Michael E. Carter, 74, of Moline, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at Heritage Woods of Moline.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Per the family's wishes no services will be held at this time. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Michael was born October 4, 1949. He was the son of Russell Dick and Frances Gertrude (Brown) Williams. He was an avid sports fan, "Go Yankees!", and enjoyed Western movies and 70s rock. In his heyday, he could be found at local sporting events and loved seeing his grandsons compete.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Louisa (Boyd) Pace, of DeWitt, IA, Michael E. (Nazneen) Carter Jr., of Oakbrook, IL, Deana Carson, of Evans, GA; grandchildren, Caleb and Benjamin Pace, Kashif Carter, Samuel and Lily Carson; and sisters, Ann Schilling, of East Moline, and Bonnie Clyne, of Leesberg, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Frances; siblings, Russell D. Williams Jr. and Judith DeLaRosa.
