Michael K. Dolph, 71, of Rock Island, passed on Friday, July 25, 2025. Born on August 8, 1953, in Rock Island, IL, to parents George and Alice (Benson) Dolph, Michael was a cherished husband, friend, and member of his community. Michael married Elizabeth Smith on July 27, 1991, in Rock Island, IL.

Michael worked at John Deere Harvester for 30 years, representing the values of hard work and commitment as a proud member of UAW Local 865. He attended Edgewood Baptist Church in Rock Island.

Those who knew Michael will remember him for his remarkable storytelling ability, keen sense of humor, and penchant for playful pranks. He had a zest for life that shone brightly in every moment, whether he was fishing, shooting, or enjoying the great outdoors while camping. Michael's unwavering spirit and ability to forge bonds with those around him made a lasting impact on many lives.

Those left to cherish Michael's memory are his wife, Elizabeth; children, Joshua Smith, Mereleena (Michael) Olvera, and Jesse Smith; grandchildren, Madison, Joseph, Alexander, Celeaciya, Queleb, Johnathan, Lillie Ana; several great-grandchildren; stepmother, Velma Dolph; and brother, Steven (Linda) Dolph. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom Dolph.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island; friends and family are invited to join us in celebrating his life, sharing stories, and finding comfort in one another's company. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for house plants that may have the opportunity to grow with the family.
