Michael G. Miller, 61, of Rock Island, died Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.  Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.

Michael was born in Rock Island on Nov. 1, 1954, a son of Egnazio and Virginia Concini Miller.  He graduated from Alleman High School in 1972; He really enjoyed playing football for Coach Rocco Carbone.

Michael married Barbara Davis on June 21, 1980 in Milan.  He worked at the IH Farmall plant in Rock Island where he also served as the UAW steward for many years.  He most recently worked for Packaging Technologies and retired due to his illness in 2008.

Michael was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.  He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and trap shooting.  He would be considered by many as a "jack of all trades," and a history buff.  Some of his great joys in life were watching his daughters play softball and keeping up with his grandchildren.  He also enjoyed playing softball himself.  Michael loved his dog, Juno very much.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Miller, Rock Island; daughters (and spouses), Jennipher (Keith) Estes, Rock Island and Christina (Christopher) Reyes, Plainfield, Ill.; grandchildren, Bailey and Tyler Estes and Miranda Reyes; sisters, Maryanne (Stan) Deresinski, Palo Alto, Calif. and Paula Miller, Rock Island; brother, Jerry (Clara) Miller, Milan; sisters-in-law, Beverly Davis and Cheryl (Tony) McCubbin; brothers-in-law, Randdy and Gary Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, David and two infant sisters, Martha and Margaret.
