Michael "Kevin" Nelson, 50, of Milan, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at his home.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Per the family's wishes no services will be held at this time. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Kevin was born June 20, 1973, in Mountain View, CA, the son of Michael and Beverly Ann (Bolduc) Nelson. Kevin was a proud member of the Local 150 International Union of Operating Engineers. As an avid car fanatic, he enjoyed fixing up old cars and trucks. He loved being outdoors, whether that be fishing or barbequing with his buddies.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Michael Burriss; nieces and nephews, James, Robert, Kimberly, Michele, Stephan, Matthew; 13 great nieces and nephews; his best friend of 36 years, Marty Clark; and all his friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Teda Hartsock.
