Michael A. Searcy, 64, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday February 5, 2019 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island. Burial, with military honors, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Michael was born September 10, 1954 in Moline, Illinois, a son of John "Bob" and Dorothy M. Vance Searcy. He graduated from Rock Island High School.

Michael was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked at I.H. Farmall Works for 14 years. He then was a warehouse manager for several years.

He loved sports and was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, fishing, bowling, and his beloved dog, "Oreo". His favorite times were those spent with friends and family.

Surviving are his daughters, Andrea and Chelsea; sister, Susan Sperry, Davenport; brother, Chuck Searcy, Lawrenceville, Ga. and his fiancé, Peggy Zimmer, Sioux Falls, SD; nieces and nephews, Erin, Chaz, Jason, Shane, and Casey; and close friends, Dianne Davis and Willie Carter, both of Davenport.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Searcy; and brother-in-law, Richard Sperry.
