Michael A. Sheets Sr., 47, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at OSF Hospital, Peoria.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.

Michael was born December 25, 1967, in Iowa City, IA, the son of Raymond L. and Gloria (Veasey-Jones) Sheets. He was employed as a janitor at Kimco Janitorial Service, and took a lot of pride in his job. Michael loved his cars and cooking, and enjoyed walks and being outside.

Michael is survived by his father, Raymond L. (Tina) Sheets, Davenport; children, Lateshia Sheets, Michael Sheets Jr., Antoinette Sheets, Shaylnn Turner, Demarlo Sheets, and Shaniqua Sheets, all from Davenport; grandchildren, Jasmine, Rodney, Eli, Avery, and Vaya; brothers, Corey and Ray Sheets, both of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Veasey-Jones.
