Mike was born on December 4, 1951 to Mitchell and Betty (Hoyle) Demps in Moline, IL. She grew up in the Lincoln Homes Projects of Rock Island where she made many lifelong friends. She graduated in the Class of 1969 from Rocky and then attended Blackhawk College.
In 1970 she was united marriage to Jack Anderson in Rock Island where the couple made their home and raised their three sons.
Mike was a homemaker when her sons were young and then worked briefly at the casino and the Alpha Center before starting her career at Oscar Mayer, which would later become Kraft Foods. She was employed there for over fifteen years until retiring in 2011.
Mike was an avid crocheter and loved going to Hobby Lobby with her best friend of 69 years, Dorothy. She also really enjoyed fishing at lakes and streams in the area, as well as the family lake house in Missouri. Mike was a big fan of college football and was often overheard yelling at the TV. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, and liked kicking back, always with a Coors Light in hand.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Jack Anderson and Josh (Carmen) Anderson; sister, Michelle Edmondson and honorary sister, Dorothy Cotton; and her grandchildren, Jacquaz, Bryce, Brandon, Veronica, Kale, Audri, and Josh Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Jason Anderson.
