Michelle Anne Weckerly, 29, of Taylor Ridge, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Trinity, Rock Island. A funeral service will be 10 am Friday, December 16, 2022 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Aledo Cemetery, Aledo, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family who will establish an education fund for her children.
Michelle was born in Davenport, Iowa on February 26, 1993, a daughter of Daniel "Dan" and Betsy Ertl Larson. She married Dillon Weckerly on May 27, 2016 in Rock Island, Illinois.
Michelle received her Associate's degree from Blackhawk College, Moline, her Bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University and three Master's Degrees from Grand Canyon University.
Michelle was a fourth grade teacher at Francis Willard Elementary School in the Rock Island/Milan School District 41.
Michelle was an avid tumbler who won four National Championships. She went on to teach tumbling and gymnastics as well as coached cheerleading at Rock Island High School. She was also an avid hunter. She was a phenomenal shot with a bow or shotgun. Michelle was never afraid to try anything.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Dillon Weckerly, Taylor Ridge; children, Easton and Archer; parents, Daniel and Betsy Larson, Rock Island; siblings, Andrew (Jennifer) Larson, Bettendorf, Iowa, Amanda (Bob) Wilson, New Windsor, Ill., Nicholas (MaKaylin) Larson, East Moline, Bret (Heather) Larson, Orion and Ben (Jesse Odorizzi) Larson, Poquoson, Va.; grandparents, Lawrence Ertl and Gwen Tolson; In-Laws, Bill and Jaci Weckerly; Dillons siblings, Garrett and Jacklyn; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Christensen.
