Michelle L. "Shellie" Pratt Stechalin Schriner, 50, of Cable, formerly of Coal Valley, passed away

peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016.  She died in her late father's home in Aledo, in the care of her beloved family

following a 16 month battle against pancreatic cancer.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 4th Ave E, Milan.

Festive attire is welcomed as Halloween was Shellie's favorite holiday.

Funeral services for Michelle will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the family.

Luncheon to follow at First Evangelical Free Church on 7th St. in Moline.

Shellie was born on December 26, 1965 in Moline to Terry and Tamara (Jones) Pratt.  She married

Thomas Gerald Stechalin in May of 1983.  She later married Glenn Schriner on December 3, 2008.

She realized a personal goal by obtaining her associates' MA degree and began working in

long term care in 2013.  She took great pride in her work, caring for the Sisters of St. Benedict at

St. Mary Monastery, Rock Island and she had previously worked in the Pediatric unit at Trinity, Moline.

Shellie is survived by her mothers, Tammy Pratt, Coal Valley and Karen Pratt, Aledo; husband, Glenn

Schriner and son, Alexander Charles Schriner, Cable; her adult children, Jerald

Thomas "J.T." Stechalin, Moline and Brittany Michelle (Eric) Stechalin Glassell, Des Moines, Iowa;

siblings, Terry (Teresa) Pratt, Reynolds, Myndee Pratt, Coal Valley, Terri Ann (Keenan) Pratt-Walters, Dysart, Iowa,

Trinette (Ryan) Pratt-Decker, Morrison, Sharon (Mike) McMann-Carney, Marengo, Iowa,

Marjie McMann-Krakow, Marengo, Iowa, Amanda Pratt, North Liberty, Iowa

and grandchildren, Lucille Michelle Landers-Stechalin and Aurora Michelle Glassell.

She was preceded in death by her father, Terry Pratt, Sr. and maternal grandparents, Cletis and Darlene Jones.
