Millie Wilson passed away on Tuesday July 23rd, 2024, at her home in Rock Island.

Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded, and no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be left in care of two Rivers United Methodist Church, Rock Island.

Millie was born on July 25th, 1934, in Miles City, Montana, the daughter of Walter and Emma (Spear) Wright. She graduated from Custer County High School in Miles Montana, Class of 1952. She was proud of her hometown and her parents.

She worked as an accountant for the Rock Island Arsenal for over 32 years and worked for H&R Block for over 30 years.

While not working Millie loved to travel with her close friend Joyce Moss. She enjoyed traveling throughout her entire life, any free time she had, she would be traveling. Her favorite place that she often traveled to was Washington DC.

Also, in her spare time she enjoyed doing pottery work, working on family trees and cross stitching. She tried several different hobbies during retirement.

Those left to cherish Millie's memory include her grandsons,

Chad D. Russell (Proctor), Des Moines, Iowa; Jesse J. Russell (Carmen), Pella, Iowa; Peter "P.J." Russell (Misti), Centerville, Iowa and Aaron Russell (Amanda); Great grandchildren, Adrian, Jesse Jr., Kaison, Cole, Peyton, Megan, Makayla, Paxton, Miah, Carver and Tate Russell and Avery and Alexis Hewitt.

Millie was proceeded in death by her parents; son, Terry Wilson; and daughter, Carol McKinney.
