Milo G. Manthe, 75, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday October 28, 2014 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday October 31, 2014 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will follow the service at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.

Milo was born April 27, 1939 in Carbon Cliff, IL, the son of Raymond E. and Pearl L. (Newton) Manthe. He married Herminia "Minnie" Perez on July 11, 1964 in Rock Island. Milo worked as an assembler at the Rock Island Arsenal. After his retirement he enjoyed fishing, sports, cooking out, gardening, watching television, flea markets, and spending time with his dogs and family.

Milo will be remembered by his wife of 50 years, Herminia Manthe, Rock Island; his sisters, Barbara (Jim) Johnson, East Moline, Thelma (Gene) Barton, Alpha, and Carol Johnson, Alpha; his brother, David (Joyce) Manthe, Viola; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lyle Manthe; brother-in-law, Wayne E. Johnson; and nephew Bryan Barton.
