Mitchell A. Demps, 52, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Genesis-East, Dvaenport.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  The funeral service can also be viewed via livestream at www.wheelanpressly.com/live-stream.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Mitchell affectionally known as Gator, was born on October 22, 1970 in Iowa City, IA, the son of John and Michelle (Demps) Edmondson. Mitchell was raised in Compton California, where he became a lifetime fan of the Raiders and the Lakers. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and meeting new people. He was a friend to all and a stranger to none.

Mitchell is survived by his mom, Michelle Edmondson; father, John (Lavonne) Edmondson; daughters, Monica Demps, Myah Demps, Haylee Taylor, and Juliette Taylor; siblings, Mia (James) Taylor; Lorri (Dan) Daniels; and John Edmondson II; aunt Michaela Demps Anderson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and cousin Jason Anderson (Big J).
